Welcome to the thirteenth entry of The Fix’s Fantasy Football Injury Report.  Each week I (@Rich_Migs) will cover several key fantasy football related injuries.  The idea is not to cover every football injury, but instead cover the notable ones that have direct fantasy implications.  As the season continues, the report will address the most recent injuries and their fantasy football related consequences.

I will try to avoid repeating names too often from week to week unless there is news to report.  We are entering Week 11 and if you would like to see the injury list for Week 12, please click here.   You can see all my injury reports (and my other work) by following my archive here.

This week focuses on the running back position.

Week Thirteen:

Player

Injury

Status/Update

Stock Risers/Fallers

Zac Stacy (RB)

Concussion

Questionable for Week 13:

Every week it seems like we get one or two fantasy related concussions.  Stacy has to go through the protocol and owners won’t know if he is going to play until later in the week.

Benny Cunningham (RB). Cunningham tore it up after Stacy left the game, carrying it 13 times for 109 yards.  Expect him to get the bulk of the carries.  Owners in need of a RB should give Cunningham a look with Stacy questionable.

Chris Ivory (RB)

Ankle

Questionable for Week 13:

A sprained ankle could certainly hinder Ivory and the Jets’ running game.  MRI results are pending.

Bilal Powell (RB) Powell is in line for more carries even if Ivory does play.  He carried it 11 times on Sunday, but should beat that mark this coming week.

Ryan Mathews (RB)

Hamstring

Questionable for Week 13:

Mathews has been dealing with a hammy issue for a few weeks now, and he tweaked it this week.  You can never tell how things will go with the fragile Mathews, so don’t be shocked if he misses a game or two.

Danny Woodhead (RB).  Woodhead will have very little in his way if this Mathews’ injury lingers.

Daniel Thomas (RB)

Ankle

Out for Week 13:

Thomas is likely done for the year as he may have torn some ligaments in his left ankle.

Lamar Miller (RB).  Miller will be handling the rock plenty more with Thomas out.  He could gain 5-10 more carries a game.  Unfortunately for Miller, he faces a tough Jets’ run defense in Week 13.

Other Injury Related News:

  • T.Y. Hilton (WR) suffered a shoulder injury, but only missed a handful of plays on Sunday. He is expected to be okay.
  • Jason Campbell (QB) sustained a concussion and lost consciousness on Sunday.  It is unlikely he plays this week.  The ever struggling Brandon Weeden (QB), will take his place has the starter.
  • Aaron Rodgers (QB) is still unlikely to play in Week 13.
