2013 Fantasy Football: Week 12 IDP Waiver Wire
That was a painful game to watch on Monday Night,huh? Or was it just RGIII getting kicked in the family jewels that stung the most? That’s neither here nor there, but it does mean we’re entering week 13 and approaching playoff territory already (I know there are some leagues out there that their playoffs are about to start). Gone are the bye weeks (finally) and we enter the good ol’ Thanksgiving week in the NFL, where we get 3 games on Thursday (oh joy!).
Anyway, let’s get into some quality waiver wire pick-ups for your playoff run.
- JAMIE COLLINS, LB, PATRIOTS: Collins has been balling as of late, and if you’ve watched that epic DEN/NE game then you’ve seen Collins everywhere in the middle. Very athletic and is thriving, reminds me of a younger Jon Beason. Definitely worth an add for not only playoff run but your dynasty team. Collins has LB2 upside and I wouldn’t be surprised if he overtakes Hightower and Spikes as NE’s LB to own behind Mayo.
- COREY WHITE, DB, SAINTS: He’s starting now that Greer is on the IR and has been impressive. He’ll get the attention from opposing QB’s testing him. White should be a lock for at least 6 tackles and 1-3 pass deflections.
- AUDIE COLE, LB, VIKINGS: If you’re an Erin Henderson owner then you should pick /cole up until Erin returns. Cole has always showcased what he can do when given the chance. He had a very solid game in his start versus GB this past weekend and shall continue to put up numbers (as long as Erin is out).
- OLIVER VERNON, DL, DOLPHINS: Vernon is playing well as of late and has a favorable playoff schedule. If you’re sketchy about your current DL2 then I’d take a look at Vernon.
Seems like a light week for waiver wire adds, but I believe these four are your best options available. For the playoff stretch, I have come up with my top 10 rankings from each position and will drop my entire week 13-16 playoff rankings by Wednesday.
