It is on to week 13 of Daily Fantasy Football at DraftKings. I’m back again this week to offer my picks for the Tight End position at DraftKings. The bye weeks are over, but we’ve got three games on Thursday which I won’t cover in my column this week.

If you are playing those games I like Jason Witten (lots of LB injuries for the Eagles) if you want to spend some money and Brent Celek (Cowboys struggle a lot with TEs) as my punt play. Zach Ertz is a viable option as well as he’s had four catches each of the last two weeks.

This is a great week to check out DraftKings and pick up a new way to play fantasy football.

DraftKings Tight End Recommendations

If you’ve never played on DraftKings before, you can get a deposit bonus by signing up. And there are different options to pick from at DraftKings for any skill level.

Also, a gentle reminder on the scoring for Tight Ends – this is a PPR site so remember that when selecting players. The full for scoring for Tight Ends is at the end of this column.

Tight Ends can also be used in the flex position at DraftKings. However, with the entire world of RBs and WRs at your disposal, it would be unlikely you’d have to head to the TEs to pick up a flex play. Jimmy Graham is always in play as a flex option.

Let’s take a look at a couple of options at each price point. For those who are new to the column, I’ll generally look at a couple of options in each pricing tier broken out based on the socioeconomic status of 1970s sitcom families. And I’ll always cover Jimmy Graham.

I’ll mention Football Outsiders a lot over the season – the passes per game and yards per game stats I use are from Football Outsiders. Here is the link to Football Outsiders’ 2013 stats. FO stats for 2014 are here and I like to use the defense versus types of receivers to fill out my rosters.

Teams on bye: None

The Graham Tier

Jimmy Graham | Saints | $7,100 – In three out of the last four weeks Graham has been over 20 points on DraftKings. The matchup looks great against the Steelers, but I’d hold off as Pittsburgh looks like they are going to be healthy on D this week with Ryan Shazier, Ike Taylor and Troy Polamalu all due back in the lineup. There should be better options out there.

The Jeffersons

Rob Gronkowski | Patriots | $7,800 – Gronk had back to back weeks of 25+ points (and three weeks overall) but outside of those three games, Gronk has been slightly above average. He’s average scoring is skewed by a huge 44.9 point game. I wouldn’t pay for him this week.

All in the Family

Coby Fleener | Colts | $4,700 – Fleener made us sad last week, but we are back like a jilted lover. Fleener should have the TE position to himself again this week as Dwayne Allen still isn’t practicing. And Fleener’s matchup is pretty solid.

Travis Kelce | $4,300 – Kelce is my guy this week as there are so many other bargains at other positions (which is common as we get toward the end of the season). Kelce continues to be the best receiver on the team and we’re just waiting for his breakout game. He’s playing nearly every snap so the opportunities are there. Kelce had four catches and 81 yards in the first matchup with the Broncos this year and I see that as his floor in this return bout.

Good Times

Charles Clay | Dolphins | $3,400 – I wrote up Clay last week and then he went out and missed the week due to knee and hamstring injuries. He was at practice Wednesdays which bodes well for him making it on to the field on Sunday. His matchup is great as he gets the Jets who now seem coachless and will likely be playing out the string. The Jets are a TD-play as they don’t give up a ton of yards, but do like to give up scores to TDs so Clay’s upside is limited and is more of a cash game play. If Clay doesn’t go, Dion Sims ($3,000) is a punt play option.

Niles Paul | Washington | $3,200 – Paul was also in my list last week and he’s back again. With the return of Colt McCoy to the starting QB role, there should be some stability at the position going forward. In McCoy’s two starts this year, Jordan Reed ($3,200) and Paul combined for 17 catches in those two games. If Paul has the spot to himself, he makes a great play this cheap. Reed is practicing on a limited basis so watch reports this weekend and if Reed starts, he’s the play here.

Good luck in Week 13! Happy Thanksgiving to all!
