Miami Dolphins @ New York Jets

This seems to be getting redundant with the Jets on prime time. There are only so many ways to tell you that the Jets are horrible. Welp, here we go again. The Dolphins have been very good this season. The defense has been dominate and the offense is progressing. They destroy bad teams, they just need learn how to win close games. They lost to the Packers, Lions and Broncos on the last drive of the game. The Jets are going in a different direction. They just benched their terrible backup QB for their miserable starting QB, and the coach and coordinator did not want to. Hope is lost for the Jets this season and probably next season. I really hope no more Jets games get moved to Monday night.

Miami Dolphins: Key Players
QB Ryan Tannehill
Tannehill has been very good as of late and for most of this season. This week he gets a nightmarishly bad Jets secondary. They have allowed a league high 27 passing TDs and have no one that should be starting in the NFL. Matchups don’t get any better than this.
Verdict: Start Tannehill. He should be a top five QB this week or at least very close to it. The Jets are a mess and only getting worse.

RB Lamar Miller
Miller has somewhat of a tough matchup this week. However, he just faced the Bills and Broncos and rushed for 5.4 YPC. Both rush defenses are as good as the Jets’ if not better. It is also important to note that the Jets will also be without arguably their best defensive player Muhammad Wilkerson. While the rush defense isn’t bad, they can be had.
Verdict: Start Miller. With Wilkerson out and likely some garbage time, Miller is a nice start this week.

WR Mike Wallace
Wallace has been down a bit the past month. This is much in part due to the emergence of rookie WR Jarvis Landry. While he hasn’t been as consistent as he was early in the season, he still has the ability. The Jets don’t have anybody that can cover him.
Verdict: Start Wallace. The matchup is too good to pass up. There should be plenty of fantasy points to go around.

WR Jarvis Landry
Landry has quietly become the Dolphins’ top option in the passing attack. He now leads the team in receptions and has four TDs in the past four games. He is an excellent start this week and for the remainder of the season. He is really breaking out down the stretch. If he’s still on your waiver wire, he is a must add for your playoff run.
Verdict: Start Landry. He is right up there in the mix with the rest of the rookie WRs.

TE Charles Clay
Clay has been getting increasingly more involved as we get deeper in to the season. He had a great matchup last week in Denver but unfortunately he was inactive with a hamstring injury. He is expected back this week and has another great matchup against the Jets. They are allowing the third most fantasy points to opposing TEs this season including a league high 12 TDs.
Verdict: Start Clay. Due to his questionable tag make sure you handcuff him with Dion Sims. Just in case there is an unforeseen setback. If Clay is out, Sims will see plenty of opportunities.

New York Jets: Key Players
QB Geno Smith
Really? Again with this? Smith is awful, his weapons are awful and his coordinator is awful. He’s a turnover machine and absolutely should be on no one’s roster.
Verdict: Sit Smith. Of course you’re sitting him.

RB Chris Ivory
Ivory is splitting snaps with Chris Johnson more and more and has had little to no fantasy value as of late. This offense is a black hole and Ivory is stuck in it. As the offense spirals as does Ivory.
Verdict: Sit Ivory. He just isn’t producing anymore. Nobody is on that offense.

RB Chris Johnson
Johnson has been bad all year. Aside from losing a step, it has become apparent the Jets’ Coaching staff has no idea how to utilize him. The only good news is, when the Jets start falling behind they have been using Johnson more. He’s a better option in the passing game. More good news, the Jets are almost always falling behind pretty much immediately.
Verdict: Sit Johnson. He’s probably your best bet on the Jets. You still shouldn’t start him.

WR Percy Harvin
Harvin really hasn’t done much as a Jet. Didn’t do a whole lot with the Seahawks either for that matter. If he was disgruntled with the situation is Seattle, how do you think he feels now? He went from the Super Bowl champs to a raging dumpster fire.
Verdict: Sit Harvin. Why would you start him? Surely not because Smith is returning. He only has value if you get points for return yards.

WR Eric Decker
Is Decker good or was he just a product of Peyton Manning? That question has been answered and most people probably already knew. Making him a WR1 is just another reason John Idzik needs to be fired.
Verdict: Sit Decker. He’s just not very good. The Jets’ offense has only exacerbated the situation.
