2013 Fantasy Football: Week 11 Target Practice

Key: I – Player missed game or left game early due to injury. S – Player was suspended for game. A – Player was inactive. B – Bye week. Most notable players who missed a game due to injury or benching are marked with an S or A. If a lesser-known player was inactive, etc., I just put a 0 in his weekly spot because I don’t know if that player was just inactive, hurt, etc. Ownership numbers are posted in parentheses next to notable players’ names, with ESPN first followed by Yahoo!

Arizona

Jim Dray: 2-7-0-1-2-2-2-0-B-2-2 (20) Andre Ellington: 3-2-6-6-4-5-5-2-B-4-2 (39) Larry Fitzgerald: 14-5-6-9-6-12-5-7-B-6-9 (79) Michael Floyd: 6-7-6-10-7-6-10-4-B-2-11 (69) Rob Housler: 0-0-3-2-2-5-7-1-B-5-9 (34) Rashard Mendenhall: 1-2-1-4-2-1-0-0-B-1-3 (14) Andre Roberts: 9-8-4-2-1-4-8-2-B-8-4 (50)

Floyd (63, 62) had the best day of his season Sunday, catching six passes for 193 yards, including a 91-yard touchdown. He’s on pace for over 1,000 yards now and has three great matchups in the next three weeks – Indy, Philly and St. Louis. Housler (2, 13) has at least four catches and 50 yards in three of his last four.

Atlanta

Drew Davis: 0-0-1-0-0-B-1-7-2-0-0 (11) Harry Douglas: 6-5-6-6-4-B-7-18-5-8-9 (74) Tony Gonzalez: 6-8-5-14-14-B-4-8-7-5-8 (79) Steven Jackson: 8-2-I-I-I-B-I-5-4-5-2 (26) Darius Johnson: 0-0-0-0-0-B-3-9-2-2-7 (23) Jacquizz Rodgers: 1-4-3-6-4-B-9-5-6-7-2 (47) Jason Snelling: 3-4-5-3-5-B-0-0-0-4-I (24) Levine Toilolo: 0-0-1-2-2-B-0-3-0-2 (10) Roddy White: 2-3-4-9-4-B-I-I-I-4-9 (35)

Baltimore

Marlon Brown: 6-6-3-8-I-7-4-B-9-3 (46) Dallas Clark: 12-1-7-9-0-6-4-B-1-2-4 (46) Ed Dickson: 0-5-0-3-2-0-2-B-3-4-3 (22) Tandon Doss: A-A-A-9-5-6-3-B-4-1-5 (33) Jacoby Jones: 4-I-I-I-I-2-8-B-8-2-2 (26) Vonta Leach: 4-0-2-2-1-2-1-B-0-0-1 (13) Bernard Pierce: 1-1-2-1-0-2-1-B-0-3 (11) Ray Rice: 11-3-I-1-7-4-5-B-4-6-5 (46) Torrey Smith: 8-13-9-12-9-4-6-B-8-14-8 (91) Deonte Thompson: A-A-A-5-7-0-0-B-4-0-3 (19)

Rice had the best day of his season, too, Sunday against the Bears, totaling 148 yards and a touchdown. However, the Bears rank in the bottom quarter against running backs and now Rice gets the Jets, who rank third in fantasy points allowed to running backs. New York’s only allowed running backs to score in three games this season. I’d sit Rice this week unless you’re out of other options.

Buffalo

Scott Chandler: 6-6-6-3-6-4-3-11-9-3-3 (60) T.J. Graham: 1-3-5-3-4-6-2-4-4-4-4 (40) Marquise Goodwin: 1-0-0-0-0-3-0-5-4-4-9 (26) Fred Jackson: 5-6-5-0-6-5-5-4-2-4-2 (44) Steve Johnson: 6-10-13-6-3-I-13-11-7-10-I (69)  C.J. Spiller: 6-5-1-0-0-2-3-I-3-3-2 (25) Robert Woods: 2-6-10-8-14-6-4-3-8-I-I (61)

Goodwin (0, 2) had the best day of his season, catching six passes for 81 yards, most of which came on a 43-yard go route that Goodwin ran by the defense on into the end zone. He’s fast, but also raw and his value depends on how long Woods and Johnson are out. The Bills’ receivers have favorable matchups in Weeks 13, 14 and 15 so if one of those other two are out Goodwin could be an OK play in deeper leagues.

Carolina

Ted Ginn: 1-8-4-B-5-3-2-6-3-4-3 (39) Brandon Lafell: 0-6-5-B-9-4-4-5-9-8-8 (58) Greg Olsen: 10-8-8-B-6-4-4-4-5-3-8 (60) Steve Smith: 8-11-7-B-10-7-6-7-10-11-6 (83) Jonathan Stewart: I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-3-0-0 (3) Mike Tolbert: 1-3-0-B-1-3-0-4-4-3-0 (19) DeAngelo Williams: 3-0-2-B-3-5-1-3-2-2-3 (24)

LaFell is averaging almost six catches and almost 60 yards a game in his last three while being targeted at least eight times in each game.

Chicago

Earl Bennett: 1-2-3-4-3-2-4-B-0-3-1 (23) Martellus Bennett: 6-9-5-12-5-7-3-B-8-6-2 (63) Matt Forte: 6-11-4-6-6-6-3-B-8-7-6 (63) Alshon Jeffery: 8-5-8-11-13-5-7-B-9-18-11 (95) Brandon Marshall: 10-10-8-14-5-11-10-B-13-12-10 (103)

Cincinnati

Giovani Bernard: 2-2-4-7-3-7-6-2-4-8-5 (50) Tyler Eifert: 5-5-2-5-7-3-4-4-4-10-1 (50) A.J. Green: 13-14-8-15-8-11-8-7-19-15-5 (123) BenJarvus Green-Ellis: 1-1-0-0-1-1-0-0-0-0 (4) Jermaine Gresham: 5-9-5-5-4-4-5-3-7-6 (53) Andrew Hawkins: I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-2-0-2 (4) Marvin Jones: 2-4-4-3-2-5-6-8-7-7-2 (50) Mohamed Sanu: 5-8-5-6-2-6-2-3-9-8-5 (59)

Cleveland

Davone Bess: 10-8-10-6-5-3-6-8-4-B-6 (66) Jordan Cameron: 13-7-11-12-5-6-9-4-5-B-7 (79) Josh Gordon: S-S-19-9-6-9-6-10-7-B-15 (81) Greg Little: 10-12-8-2-5-5-9-3-9-B-6 (69) Willis McGahee: A-A-A-0-2-1-1-2-B-2 (8) Chris Ogbonnaya: 3-0-5-5-2-12-2-4-6-B-12 (51) Fozzy Whittaker: 0-0-0-0-0-0-5-2-4-B-5 (16)

Since Jason Campbell took over in Week 8, Cameron’s only averaging a touch over five targets a game. He hasn’t scored, although he should’ve Sunday; he was wide open in the end zone but Campbell waited too long, let the defender catch up, and over threw Cameron. Cameron didn’t have much to work with Sunday, catching six passes but only with a long of eight yards. He wasn’t targeted past 10 yards, receiving a bunch of check downs. Cameron has fewer targets than Bess and Little since Campbell took over, so if you’ve got another option who’s getting more targets you might want to look that way. Cameron does have favorable matchups next week, Week 13 and 16, however.

Dallas

Miles Austin: 12-4-5-I-I-4-3-0-I-I-B (28) Cole Beasley: 0-0-1-3-4-5-7-3-9-4-B (36) Dez Bryant: 8-13-6-9-10-8-16-6-11-2-B (89) Gavin Escobar: 2-1-2-0-3-0-1-0-0-B (9) James Hanna: 0-5-0-0-1-1-0-2-1-3-B (13) Dwayne Harris: 3-0-1-2-2-0-0-2-2-1-B (13) DeMarco Murray: 10-6-3-5-1-2-I-I-7-2-B (36) Joseph Randle: 0-0-0-0-0-2-4-4-0-0-B (10) Terrance Williams: 4-3-0-8-4-2-7-10-7-5-B (50) Jason Witten: 9-8-6-10-10-5-6-2-10-6-B (72)

Detroit

Joique Bell: 6-8-5-4-4-2-4-1-B-1-4 (39) Nate Burleson: 6-8-9-I-I-I-I-I-B-I-I (23) Reggie Bush: 8-4-I-6-6-6-5-9-B-6-5 (55) Kris Durham: 2-2-3-4-8-13-8-6-B-1-9 (56) Joseph Fauria: 3-0-3-0-0-3-4-0-B-2-2 (17) Calvin Johnson: 9-8-13-10-I-8-15-16-B-17-13 (109) Brandon Pettigrew: 4-6-2-7-5-4-7-6-B-5-5 (51)

Green Bay

Jarrett Boykin: 0-0-0-B-0-6-10-6-1-13-8 (44) Randall Cobb: 12-10-11-B-8-4-I-I-I-I-I (45) Jermichael Finley: 8-7-1-B-6-7-5-I-I-I-I (34) Johnathan Franklin: 0-0-3-B-0-1-1-0-0-0-0 (5) James Jones: 2-12-8-B-6-1-I-I-3-7-6 (45) Eddie Lacy: 2-I-I-B-1-1-7-4-0-2-2 (19) John Kuhn: 1-0-0-B-0-2-1-2-0-2-3 (11) Jordy Nelson: 10-4-9-B-7-10-6-8-9-10-9 (82) Andrew Quarless: 0-3-5-B-0-0-1-2-7-4-3 (25) James Starks: 1-5-0-B-0-0-0-0-0-1-0 (7) Myles White: 0-0-0-B-0-0-2-7-1-1-0 (11)

Both Nelson (8-117) and Boykin (6-91) had good games against a Giants D that’s done OK against receivers this year, so you can confidently start Boykin the rest of the way. Jones has fallen to third on the receiver pecking order here, so until Rodgers comes back it’s best to stay away from him.

Houston

Owen Daniels: 7-5-9-11-9-I-I-B-I-I-I (43) Arian Foster: 8-4-2-8-5-7-0-B-1-I-I (35) Garrett Graham: 5-5-0-6-5-4-8-B-6-3-13 (55) DeAndre Hopkins: 6-13-7-3-4-5-4-B-6-11-2 (61) Andre Johnson: 16-13-6-12-10-8-6-B-13-12-17 (113) Keshawn Martin: 0-2-3-6-1-2-0-B-0-0-5 (19) DeVier Posey: 0-0-4-0-2-1-2-B-4-6-4 (23) Ben Tate: 2-4-4-1-2-4-3-B-2-5-6 (33)

Graham (19, 25) had the best game of his season, catching seven passes for 136 yards and a touchdown. In Weeks 12, 14, 16 and 17 Houston has very favorable tight end matchups, making Graham a low-end TE1.

Indianapolis

Donald Brown: 0-0-1-2-2-2-3-B-2-5-1 (18) Coby Fleener: 1-8-2-7-3-6-5-B-5-10-10 (57) Darrius Heyward-Bey: 4-5-5-6-6-2-7-B-6-6-3 (50) T.Y. Hilton: 5-12-4-9-6-8-11-B-12-8-9 (84) Trent Richardson 0-0-3-1-1-2-0-B-3-5-5 (20) Griff Whalen: 0-3-0-0-0-0-0-B-9-5-3 (15)

Fleener’s (50, 59) eight catches and 107 yards were the most of his season, and he now has 10 targets in two straight weeks. You should pick him up, as he has good matchups the next two weeks and can be started in 12-team leagues.

Carlson (10, 1) finished second in targets, and first in catches (five) and yards (69). He caught passes of 15, 20 and 30 yards Sunday, and he now has at least five catches and 69 yards in the two games since Kyle Rudolph was injured.

New England

Danny Amendola: 14-I-I-I-9-4-I-6-4-B-7 (43) LeGarrette Blount: 0-1-0-0-0-1-0-0-0-B-0 (2) Brandon Bolden: 0-0-6-1-0-3-3-2-0-B-0 (15) Aaron Dobson: 0-10-10-3-4-10-7-5-9-B-7 (55) Julian Edelman: 9-18-7-9-7-11-7-2-4-B-4 (78) Rob Gronkowski: I-I-I-I-I-I-17-5-10-B-7 (39) Michael Hoomanawanui: 2-0-2-0-2-4-0-0-2-B-1 (13) Stevan Ridley: 0-0-0-2-0-1-2-0-4-B-0 (9) Kenbrell Thompkins: 14-7-7-11-4-6-5-1-A-B-2 (57) Shane Vereen: 10-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-B-11 (21)

Vereen led the Pats in targets in his return from injury, catching eight passes for 65 yards. If he’s available in your league pick him up as he can be a very valuable PPR play weekly.

New Orleans

Marques Colston: 6-7-8-8-2-3-B-6-I-8-8 (58) Jimmy Graham: 7-16-15-4-11-6-B-3-12-5-11 (90) Mark Ingram: 0-1-0-0-0-0-B-0-1-3-2 (6) Robert Meachem: 0-0-2-1-1-1-B-3-5-1-2 (16) Lance Moore: 4-4-3-I-I-I-B-4-10-2-4 (31) Darren Sproles: 6-8-6-8-3-12-B-4-1-7-4 (59) Kenny Stills: 5-0-2-6-2-3-B-4-5-4-2 (33) Pierre Thomas: 4-5-6-6-9-1-B-3-10-7-5 (56) Nick Toon: 0-0-0-2-1-4-B-0-4-0-1 (12) Ben Watson: 3-0-2-2-1-4-B-3-1-3-0 (19)

New York Giants

Andre Brown: I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-B-3-5 (8) Victor Cruz: 8-11-8-16-12-5-7-10-B-10-11 (98) Peyton Hillis: 0-0-0-0-0-0-6-5-B-2-I (13) Brandon Jacobs: 0-1-0-1-3-2-I-I-B-I-0 (7) Brandon Myers: 9-10-6-1-5-1-3-4-B-0-4 (43) Hakeem Nicks: 8-7-1-9-12-8-10-12-B-4-5 (76) Rueben Randle: 6-9-4-4-13-5-3-1-B-3-3 (51)

New York Jets

Jeff Cumberland: 0-0-3-1-4-5-7-2-I-B-4 (26) Stephen Hill: 9-8-6-1-2-8-5-7-1-B-7 (54) Santonio Holmes: 3-6-10-5-II-I-I-I-B-8 (32) Chris Ivory: 2-0-0-I-0-0-2-0-0-B-1 (5) Jeremy Kerley: 4-0-5-5-6-7-10-4-2-B-I (43) David Nelson: A-A-A-A-2-1-7-12-3-B-3 (28) Bilal Powell: 5-5-3-5-2-3-2-6-3-B-1 (35) Kellen Winslow: 8-6-0-9-1-A-A-A-A-B-1 (25)

Holmes (12, 10) saw his first action since Week 4, catching two passes – one for 33, the other 38. Holmes took the 38-yarder down to the 5-yard-line, so he was close to scoring. Both catches were pretty nice, and it’s good to see his eight targets led the team. His production will be sporadic at best, due to his own boom-or-bust reputation and the Jets’ quarterback situation, but he’s worth a pickup in most leagues.
