Tennessee Titans @ Jacksonville Jaguars

These Thursday night games are going from bad to worse. The Titans and Jags…I’m not sure you could possibly come up with a game that would get lower ratings. Two terrible and terribly unpopular teams with little to no talent to even entice people in their fantasy championships. This game will not include Denard Robinson, Allen Robinson, Zach Mettenberger, Jake Locker, Kendall Wright or Justin Hunter. Blake Bortles may also be forced to sit. We could have a showdown between Charlie Whitehurst and Chad Henne. Shonn Greene and Jordan Todman may lead the backfield. And the star WRs are Nate Washington and Allen Hurns. Prepare for a classic.

Tennessee Titans: Key Players
QB Charlie Whitehurst
Should you start Whitehurst? Peyton Manning’s been struggling and Whitehurst has a solid matchup. Maybe in your championship game you should roll the dice and take a cha… Of course you shouldn’t play Whitehurst! Not only is he terrible, he’s missing his top two weapons.
Verdict: Sit Whitehurst. Because it’s championship week and he’s Charlie Whitehurst.

RB Bishop Sankey
At least he has some upside. Greene may see more work but if for some godforsaken reason you were obligated to start one of the Titans’ RBs, I’d roll the dice with the underachieving rookie.
Verdict: Sit Sankey. He’s disappointed you all season. Not a great resume to earn a championship start.

WR Nate Washington
Yup, he’s the WR1. He couldn’t make the Browns. Not that he’s an awful WR4, but he’s certainly not a WR1. The Titans are really hoping the exceedingly average Wright makes a rapid recovery.
Verdict: Sit Washington. I bet a month ago at least 40-percent of you didn’t know he was still in the league and in Tennessee. And 15-percent of you still didn’t know until now.

TE Delanie Walker
He’s the only guy on this offense worth a damn. One would think that somebody has to do something in this game. The smart money’s on Walker.
Verdict: Start Walker. He has actually been very solid this season and should be the top option for the Titans.

Jacksonville Jaguars: Key Players
QB Blake Bortles
Bortles has a mid-foot sprain and is in serious danger of missing the game. However, he does hope to play. He may be a game-time decision and if for some ungodly reason you intend to start him, you should closely monitor his status.
Verdict: Sit Bortles. You shouldn’t start him healthy, so you certainly shouldn’t start him injured.

RB Storm Johnson
Much like Sankey (but worse), Johnson may not even see many touches. But we know that Todman and Toby Gerhart are terrible, at least Johnson has some upside. Like Sankey, if I absolutely had to play a Jags RB, I’d try the rookie out of Central Florida.
Verdict: Sit Johnson. Luckily for you, you don’t have to start a Jags RB.

WR Marqise Lee
Lee has an injured elbow but is expected to play. The rookie WR has been playing fairly well as of late and at the very least may be worth watching. He could arguably be the biggest offensive star in this game. Yea, let that marinate for a minute.
Verdict: Sit Lee. Banged up elbow, banged up QB, leave him on your bench.

WR Allen Hurns
Here is your best option on the Jags. The undrafted rookie from The U has really been a bright spot in Jacksonville this season. He has more than just had his moments. If he continues to develop the Jags may have found a diamond in the rough in Hurns.
Verdict: Sit Hurns. You’re probably sitting him, but he’s not an awful start in deeper leagues. He is the Jags best option right now and has plenty of big play ability.
